Lesson information
We are very excited to have you join us for a fun, unique learning experience. We adhere to all Red Cross standards and swim levels. As Red Cross Training Partners, we will provide you with Swim Preschool and Swim Kids levels and badges upon succesfull completion of a two week lesson. Placement in Red Cross Swim programs depends on many variables including age, skill proficiency, previous experience and readiness.
SWIM PRESCHOOL (3 to 6 years)
Red Cross Swim Preschool is an eight-level stand-alone program for four-month to six-year-old children that allows swimmers to enter various levels based on age and ability. At this level, the plan for every child in the program is to have fun, play, learn introductory swimming skills, and learn how to stay safe in, on, and around the water.
We create a nurturing, positive environment that promotes learning, and reinforce the importance of play as a learning tool for this age group. We use songs, games and a variety of stimulating equipment and toys to enhance learning.
The five levels for ages 3 to 6 are Sea Otter, Salamander, Sunfish, Crocodile and Whale.

SWIM KIDS (Levels 1 - 10)
Red Cross Swim Kids is a 10-level stand-alone program for five to twelve-year-old children. Children learn to swim, be fit, and stay safe in a fun environment that promotes achieving a personal best and celebrates personal success.

Level 1 - 5
This program helps swimmers develop the swimming strokes (front crawl, back crawl and breast stroke) and the survival strokes (elementary back stroke and sidestroke) - which supports learning how to be safe in, on, and around the water.
Level 6 - 10
The fitness activities in each level build endurance, promote individual success and improvement, and encourage swimming as part of a healthy, active lifestyle. In Red Cross Swim Kids 6-10, the skills and water safety content is adapted to the different age groups, and focuses on self-rescue skills, rescue of others, and safe behaviour to prevent injuries.

what level do I book?
If your child has already completed Red Cross levels please provide us with a copy of the last level passed (if available) so we can start your child at the next level. If you are unsure of your level, please refer to the Red Cross Swim Guide.
If your child has not completed any Red Cross levels, then we can do an onsite assessment on the first day of lessons.
